YOUTH AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION
This is a collaborative project between the Community Hands Foundation and Care International in Tanzania focused on youth leadership and climate adaptation. The project aims to train and raise awareness among Tanzanian youth regarding their engagement in community leadership and adaptation to climate change. Since its inception in 2022-2023, the project has successfully reached out to 200 youth, providing them with capacity-building sessions on various aspects of climatic conditions and behaviors.
Additionally, the project has established a platform known as “Youth for Climate,” which serves as an educational hub on climate-related topics. This platform offers digital resources and content on leadership and climate, providing youth with opportunities to learn and engage in discussions about climate issues in their communities. Overall, the project aims to empower Tanzanian youth to become leaders in climate adaptation efforts and to foster a generation that is well-equipped to address the challenges posed by climate change.
