CAPACITY BUILDING
The Capacity Building project initiated by Community Hands Foundation in partnership with the international NGO Catalytse+ aims to empower small NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), and youth activists with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and implement their programs. Since its inception in 2021, the project has made significant strides, reaching out to 200 youth activists from 17 CBOs and 5 small NGOs across Tanzania. The project focuses on various areas crucial for organizational success, including strategic planning, financial management, human resources, communication, procurement, project proposal development, and resource mobilization.
The project’s key objectives include:
- Development of a strategic plan to guide organizational growth and direction.
- Training sessions on the development of an accounting manual to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
- Support in developing HR and communication policies to facilitate effective internal communication and human resource management.
- Training sessions on the development of an organizational structure to enhance operational efficiency and clarity of roles.
- Development of a procurement manual to guide transparent and efficient procurement processes.
- Training sessions on project proposal development to equip organizations with the skills to secure funding and support for their initiatives.
- Resource mobilization training to help organizations identify and secure funding from various sources.
- Development of communication strategies to effectively convey organizational messages and goals.
- Capacity building in project management to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of initiatives.
- Financial management and compliance training to ensure organizations adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Support in developing a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework to track and measure project outcomes and impact.
Through these comprehensive training sessions and support initiatives, the Capacity Building project aims to strengthen the capabilities of small NGOs, CBOs, and youth activists, enabling them to better serve their communities and contribute to positive social change.
