Our History

Community Hands Foundation is a Tanzanian based non-profit organization which focuses on community-based initiatives helping those in need. Most of our projects, programmes and services are directed at young people, primarily young girls, many of which have been forced to drop out of school due to pregnancy.

We are a relatively new youth-based foundation, started in 2021 by a group of recent university graduates, with experience obtained from working in and assisting various charitable and non-profit organizations.  The founders felt concern over the fact that many Tanzanian social concerns affecting young people weren’t being addressed so they undertook research to define the problems and come up with potential solutions.

Our Main Objectives

  • To improve community economic welfare by enhancing entrepreneurship capacity building among young women.
  • To ensure good community health by initiating health projects which are both needed and helpful to the community
  • To promote good education, gender balance and sustainability to the community.
  • To help develop and train youth volunteers to enable them to replicat our project & program assistance and help empower their own communities.

Our Shared Values

Collaboration, Inclusiveness, Equality, Compassion and Respect.
